Hey there, call me Jo! I’m the fourth of six children to Haitian parents who raised us in the windy city of Chicago. I was exposed to photography as a child watching my dad capture weddings and every family function as a side hustle. Unbeknownst to me, this had a major influence as I quickly became "that friend" with a camera always in hand and was guaranteed to have pictures of every event, gathering, and meet up.
After moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2009, I earned my degree in Special Education and had the privilege to teach for 7 years while pursuing photography as a side hustle. I quickly became ingrained in the photography industry and Weddings sparked a sweet spot for me shortly after my husband Jordan and I got married in 2014. I took a leap...a STRONG LEAP of faith to leave teaching to pursue Wedding Photography full-time in 2020. Since then, I've been blessed to continue serving even more sweet couples. It has been 8 total years organizing timelines, educating couples through the wedding planning process, and capturing sweet love; and I must say, I LOVE it! Being a wedding photographer is one of the most rewarding jobs on the planet. Not only do I have the privilege to document a once in a lifetime moment, I have the great honor to provide my couples with a personalized experience and imagery to last a lifetime!
When I am not working on capturing sweet love, you can find me in my favorite life roles as wife to my hubby of almost 9 years Jordan, and momma to our sweet girls Maya and Coco!
